Just wanted to give you an update on the pups we adopted last fall. They are a firm fit in our family and are very happy dogs. They are inseparable and if we try to take one for a walk by itself, the other will sit in the house and go crazy whining and pacing. We have a problem with them running off and not listening when they are together though!
KITA
They have completely different personalities and Kita is the leader and has the friendlier attitude. Maya is kind of the "dumb one" but it makes her even more lovable! MAYA
I do have some bad news to report though. Maya always had kind of a funny way of walking and started showing signs of having some pain, so I took her in and had her hips xrayed. Turns out its something with her pelvic bone and the leg bones don't sit in the pelvis right. The vet said he never saw such a bad pelvis and said the ideal thing would be a total hip replacement. She is already showing some signs of arthritis. I'll let you know what we decide after I find out more. We love her dearly and will do what I can as long as I can afford it.

What a couple of sweethearts! But that is some bad news ... I love it when I have a pet that's "not so bright," though - actually, I have one right now that's not too quick on the uptake. So glad I don't let him outside. :) Well, I hope things work out for little Maya. Thx for the update!
