We were very happy to once again receive a phone call telling us that Red Lake Rosie was the charity of choice for the Red Lake Elementary School which had a penny drive this month.
On March 9, 2010, Jolene Tallchief, the RLRR Chairperson, received a check for $155.27 from all the kids at Red Lake Elementary School -- kindergarten through fifth grade students.
Cadie and Michelle were the teachers who coordinated the event and LaReatha Bradford had a huge part in the penny drive, also. She was in charge of all the heavy work - lugging all those pennies to the bank!
Kevin brought Reilly, a springer spaniel mix, to the school to meet students and Jolene brought a cat that had strayed to her house and was on her way to the shelter.
We want to thank all the students, parents, and teachers for their generosity and kind thoughts towards the Red Lake dogs and cats.
Mee-gwitch.

Oh Reilly I love that he can come to meet the kids at school. Thanks for saving him.
And Reilly's calm in these pics! Do not be deceived - thankfully Kevin was there to try to keep him in check. :) He nearly pulled me to the ground during the 5 mins I held onto his leash, lol. The kids loved Reilly and the kitty, Jeri Lee, and we had fun with the kids. Looking forward to next year already! :)
Yeah, Reilly! I love that energy
level and am betting the kids loved it as well....he is a great
representative for RLRR. Thank you to the children
and teachers for raising funds for
RLRR!
Hi there Reilly! I am SO proud of you! You are doing exactly what you're meant to be doing: touching lots of peoples hearts and lives while having the freedom to run! You are a very special boy -- I miss you a lot, and am sending you lots of hugs and kisses and belly scratches and treats with this email :)
