Little Gillian, who later became known as Mrs. McGillicuddy, arrived on December 7th from Leech Lake Legacy. She had no where to go because she had mange, starvation, and dehydration. So, Red Lake Rosie's Rescue took her in to recover.
The first night she was in an outdoor kennel, but the next morning, she was moved into Karen's house as she was not doing well. Her hair was so sparse and her appetite not very good.
Gillian soon broke out with parvo and went to the Clearwater Veterinary and spent several days receiving sub cu feedings, and soon began to eat boiled walleye which she kept down and seemed to like in spite of her sickness.
In a few days Gillian was improving, and started acting like a happy puppy should. Gillian was a very affectionate pup who loved to snuggle and play with her ball and other toys. She loved to wear her little coats as she went for winter walks.
Gillian left on transport on December 27th with O'Sullivans and John enroute to her new foster home with Sandy. This little girl, possibly the only survivor in her litter, now will have a chance for a good life. Gillian will be available for adoption from Red Lake Rosie's when she is spayed and ready for her new home.
Thank you all who helped this little girl get a new life in spite of her many challenges. She is missed here as she is a very special girl.
Sincerely, Karen
