Five years and 1500 posts for RLRR

Early in 2008, I started this blog to let people know about the work of Red Lake Rosie's Rescue. Five years later, I've just passed 1500 posts and 206,000 pageviews.

KAREN AND ROSIE:
When I learned about Karen Good and Red Lake Rosie's Rescue, and especially after my first visit, I wanted to make a significant contribution in support of this mission. I had no experience creating or writing a blog, so a friend helped me get started.

RLRR SHELTER IN WINTER:
It's not a typical blog where a person journals about what s/he is doing, instead I try to capture and share the activities of Red Lake Rosie's Rescue. I am the editor of the blog, seeking and receiving information and photos from multiple sources and presenting it in (I hope) an organized and enjoyable fashion.

TWYLA TRANSPORT:
When we started the Facebook page for RLRR, I networked the blog to appear there, too. Perhaps one day we will discontinue the blog and I'll just post to Facebook. Let me know what you think. I really appreciate all comments and likes. Please share the blog or our Facebook page with your friends!

Thank you Denise! Hard at times to read some of the stories and see the photos but worth it to see them rescued and forever homes.

I LOVE this blog. I read every entry and really appreciate the work you do to keep it updated.

I didn't realize that the Denise who created this blog is the same Denise I met at a Feline Rescue adoption event. You amazed me with your cat-claw trimming skills with my foster kittens.

Thank you for the RLRR blog. I share entries with my friends. It's important for people to know about the work that is going on up there.

Every day my morning starts out with checking in on the RLRR blog,
Denise! I love it and please don't take it away. The stories,
the photos, updates.....they are
part of my day. What a fantastic
job you have done and I do hope you
will continue posting. (I don't have a Facebook page for personal
reasons and the blog is my way of
staying in touch with Karen, you,
and RLRR.) Thanks so much, Denise!

I read this blog every day and I LOVE it! I sent a story about my RLRR dog and I was so proud to see it when you included it! And you did make it look nice and interesting --- as you do with all your posts.

I also hope you will not abandon the blog for facebook. But if it is too much work to keep both things going, I do understand.

I can not tell you how much I feel like I know Karen and I feel like I've been there, even though I haven't. I have also met several Red Lake dogs in the Twin Cities and twice I even "knew" them from the blog:)

It keeps me contributing from time to time too---I always have it on my mind and contribute when I can.

THANK YOU!!
