Dodger in his new digs

Hello Karen and RLRR staff –

Thank you for all your wonderful work. I thought you might like to hear about another happy ending for one of your “babies”.

JOE THENI’m not sure if you remember when you rescued a male 4-month-old black/brown husky cross (the blue eyes and curled tail gave it away) back in January 2009. He had a thin white stripe on his face and white ticking on his chest. We were told he had been found in a dumpster on Red Lake Indian Reservation. Petfinder.com called him “Joe”. We adopted him after working with Kate at MARS.

DODGER NOWWe renamed him Dodger and we will be celebrating his 1st birthday this month. He’s a really happy healthy great little guy. Probably weighs in at 55-60 pounds of lean muscle. He LOVES to retrieve thrown tennis balls with his border collie “brother” Jigs. Jigs is faster and usually gets the long throws, but Dodger has a better nose if they get lost in tall grass.

Both dogs sleep on the carpet in our bedroom every night, often times under the bed. He is very affectionate and loves to be as close to us as he can be. He loves to snuggle with us on the couch when watching TV. He’d love to be a lap dog.

We live in the country on 40+ mostly fenced acres, wherever we go, both
Dodger and Jigs go. Be assured Dodger has a forever home.

Thanks again for your rescue efforts and especially for saving our Dodger.

Sincerely,
J & G
