Visit to Red Lake

I made a visit to Red Lake Rosie's Rescue following the clinic. I stayed in Bemidji with friends and picked up Sharae (a Native teenager who has long enjoyed helping animals) to go with me to the shelter each day. We unloaded a van full of food and supplies and helped with clean-up in the cat house each day.
Karen really has the most wonderful and beautiful cats that have been surrendered to her. They range in age from kittens to maybe 1-2 years old and every color combination and short or medium length fur. We've managed to find places for some, but Karen still has too many for the small cat house. Contact me if you are interested in fostering or adopting: blog@redlakerosie.org.

KAREN SAYS:
Thank you to Denise and Sharae for all the work with the cats and for the transport of the ten puppies for ARVSS. Also thank you to Barbie Olson for her leg of the journey from the metro to Black River Falls, WI.

We are so thankful to have Susie and Matt of ARVSS to help with the puppies that are sick or not thriving and even those with parvo positive tests! They are a remarkable rescue with great survival rates.

Again, thank you all.
Karen

Thank you, Dee Dee, for my puppy fix for today. My neighbor had a cute little black pup like one of these for a day or so - I'm thinking until the owner discovered where it had run off to and took it back home. He was such a sweetheart. There's nothing like puppy love. ^_^ Thank you guys for all your hard work!! ^_^

Thank you Carol and family for fostering these babies and going through the heartache of sick puppies. They look wonderful!! Susie and Matt at ARVSS work miracles with our sick puppies.

Also thank you to Akin and Ark staff who brought these 4 little parvo pos pups through at the clinic.

Special thanks to Denise and Barbie for the quarantined transport!!
