Special Transport accomplished Sunday

A special thank to the transporters and the receiving groups who took
8 kittens and 10 dogs/ puppies into their care on Sunday, August 2, 2009. Once again the faithful transporters the O'Sullivans and Barbara Olson made the trek north to deliver the kids.

ROSEOn of the special riders was Rose, a very thin female shephard rescued with her litter by Carol Priest last week. Rose had her litter of 5 in a brush pile in the woods.

FIVE SHEP PUPSAll Dog Rescue said Friday, " All Dog will take Rose if she is heartworm negative," so Rose and I took a ride to the Clearwater Vet for the test. Oftentimes the news is not good for a dog over 2 years old. And in Rose's condition, it was doubtful there would be any good news--but we prayed all the way to the vet.
We were so thankful and frankly shocked that she was NEGATIVE for heartworm, although she was positive for lymes and anaplasmosis. So Rose got to go to All Dog into foster care. Three of her puppies went to RLRR Petfinder foster homes and two went to All Dog.

Rescues taking animals included Pet Projects, Pet Haven, Cause for Paws, Act V and Tricounty Humane Society.

Thank you all. Karen and RLRR
