Feral Cathouse Project at RLRR

The dream of a safe haven for feral (i.e., unsocialized) cats at Red Lake Rosie's Rescue takes a step toward reality with a plan.

Karen wants to use a small cabin as the shelter for the cats, but it will need to be moved onto a concrete slab in a different area of the property away from the main traffic of people and dogs.
Donations will set this plan in motion!

Phase I of Feral Cathouse Project
Concrete Slab

12' x 14' x 4 inch slab yards of concrete @ $105.00/yd= $315.00
Number 5 gravel 100.00
labor 415.00

Total slab: $830.00

Phase II- moving the feral cathouse
After I get the slab done, I will have a neighbor who is a farmer use
his tractor to skid the feral cathouse on top of the slab. $100.00

Phase III

Completing the Interior

Have a carpenter put on a new door, new floor, and use 2 x 4" to do the interior and insulate.

Also 1 new window and take one window out and make a cat door with a ramp to make it easy for the cats to get in and out.

Add heat source

Phase IV

Painting the exterior. $28.00/gallon paint x 3 gallons.

SO- If we started with the slab and moving, then we could work on the other phases as funding becomes available.

Sincerely, Karen and RLRR

This kitten was found with her dead mother. She was rescued and socialized, but could have ended up a feral cat on the reservation, if she survived at all.
