RLRR visits Red Lake Elementary School

Friday, February 25th, 2011, Red Lake Rosie's Rescue spent the morning visiting with 10 classes at Red Lake Elementary and Kindergarten Center.

Karen Good, along with some friends of the shelter, Lauren, Helen and Kevin, brought a few of their furry friends to do some education about the shelter and the care and treatment of companion animals.

The students had lots of good questions and learned about the many ways that Red Lake Rosie's helps the animals of Red Lake.

They also had a lot of fun visiting Bridget the husky, Stanley Steamer the pup, and Cisco the cat.

Students of Red Lake Elementary and Kindergarten Center have been collecting pennies for the whole month of February to donate to Red Lake Rosie's Rescue Shelter to help with their efforts in keeping the animals of Red Lake healthy and safe.

They will be presenting their donation to Red Lake Rosie's at their monthly school-wide morning meeting Wednesday, March 2nd.

Did you know...Red Lake Rosie's Rescue rescued 771 animals and fixed nearly 700 animals in 2010?

They will be having another free spay/neuter/vaccination clinic for companion animals of residents of Red Lake on March 17, 18, and 19 in Redby.

KAREN REPLIES:
Thank you so much for the opportunity to visit your school.

We found the kids to be open, and well-behaved, very interested in what we had to say, and had lots of comments and questions.

We had a great time!

The visitors were Karen Good, LaUren Cox-Dosal, Helen Brozio and Kevin Wolden. The guests of honor were Bridget, the husky; Stanley Steamer the tan puppy; and Cisco the cat.

A special thank you to Michelle for all the organization, to all the kids who have been busy raising funds this month, and also all the administrators, teachers and support staff who make such visits possible.

Sincerely, Karen Good and RLRR
