Ducks!!

Two different pairs of ducks were rescued by Karen in September. The first pair were Indian Runner ducks and were probably male and female siblings. They were very bonded to each other and quite beautiful.

The second pair consisted of one Indian Runner and one male Mallard mix. They were good friends, too.

All four ducks did surprisingly well trying to swim in the extra large dog water bowls in their foster home.

Both sets of quackers are now in much better places - living on farms where they have lots of room to run, more friends to flock with and pools and ponds in which to swim.

In light of the 15,000+ Facebook hits (compared to a daily average of  about 500) that the original post on the ducks received, Red Lake Rosie's Rescue is considering outfitting dogs and cats needing homes in rubber duck bills.
