Saving Geronimo

On Sunday April 29th we had another emergency call from Ponemah.
Toby, who I renamed Geronimo because he surely is a warrior, was surrendered and delivered to the vet by Brandon, a man from Ponemah. It was not his dog but Brandon did a good deed and saved Geronimo.

The dog had been attacked by another dog 2 weeks ago and the eye was destroyed, and Geronimo was getting very ill, so the owner contacted RLRR and wanted to get him help. At that point he had stopped eating and was infected.
On Monday, April 30th Geronimo had the eye removed, was neutered and vaccinated. He was transported back to the RLRR shelter on May lst. Another emergency weekend vet bill, which are more expensive than during the week, but we felt that Geronimo's life was well worth it.
Once again Dr. Vickie Act V came to the rescue and will be taking Geronimo into their program on Wednesday, May 2nd.

Thank you all for this rescue.

Sincerely, Karen RLRR
