Husky pup survivors: Cheyenne & Shiloh

On Thursday, February 23rd, we had a call at Red Lake Rosie's Rescue to pick up a tiny husky pup found wandering in a neighborhood in Redby. We responded to the call and picked up this little girl we called Cheyenne. She came in VERY lethargic, starved, dehydrated and full of mange, fleas and chewing lice.

The very next day we got a call from Fannie telling us she found a little male husky pup, we now call Shiloh laying in the snow near her house in Redby barely able to moan, so she wrapped him up in a blanket and brought him to the shelter.

Shiloh was immobile and his body temp dropping, so we warmed him with hot water bottle and hair blower and massaged his body. We were very doubtful, but soon he came back to life. Fannie was very emotional about finding the puppy and if it were not for her quick action, Shiloh would not have lived.

Shiloh is eating and walking around now- He is more emaciated and dehydrated than Cheyenne, but growing stronger each day.

We are so happy that MUSHR took Cheyenne and Shiloh on March 4th transport and we are very hopeful they will continue to thrive and have a great life ahead of them.

A special thanks to Geri, Fannie, and MUSHR for taking the little husky babies. Also to Barbie for the transport.
