Polly & Dan's with Rusty & pups

Polly has been rescuing animals in Red Lake and surrounding area for many years. She has been with Red Lake Rosie since the very beginning and has saved thousands. Polly and Dan drive around the reservation and feed animals and rescue those they find at the garbage dumps and those homeless on the highway.

Polly has been battling illness for the past 9 months but that doesn't stop her from helping animals when she was not at Mayo.

For the past month she has kept a homeless mama, we call Rusty and a litter of 9 puppies, which she brought to the shelter last week, and they were immediately placed at Animal Allies the following day.

The puppies were all healthy and rolly-polly thanks to their good care.

Nancy and Tom answered the call for a transport to get the precious cargo to Duluth on Thursday, February 23rd.

Thank you Polly and Dan for all your hard work that helped yet another family on to a future of adoptive homes. We respect your persistance and caring for others in spite of your own health challenges.

Thank you also to Tom and Nancy who never say "no", and to Animal Allies for taking Rusty and her kids.
