Foxy & Frosty: Fleeing Fire!

Red Lake Rosie's Rescue was able to help 2 juvenile cats, Frosty and Foxy who were rescued by Tammy from a housefire in Red Lake recently. Frosty's whiskers were even singed, so he must have had a real close call!

Both cats were transported to the Clearwater vet where they were treated and then they moved into the cathouse and seem to really like their new "digs".

The two cats, I suspect, are littermates, one male and one female, now altered and vaxed are already gaining weight and looking healthier. They are very friendly to people and other cats as well.

Another housefire on Wednesday, January 24th sadly took the lives of 3 cats and one housedog in Red Lake. We are happy that Frosty and Foxy were lucky survivors of a wintertime tragedy.

It is important that we all have a plan for human and animal escape during housefires, one of the great dangers in the cold climates in the wintertime.
