"A phoenix obtains new life by arising from the ashes of its predecessor"

On Friday night February 20, 2015 at approximately 9:30 p.m. Polly McMaster, Red Lake Rosie's Board member received a puppy we named Phoenix from a Red Lake Police Department Conservation Officer.

This animal was found at the Redby garbage dump on the Red Lake Indian Reservation. Phoenix was dehydrated, malnourished and allegedly had a propellant on him and was set on fire. He laid on an old blanket that smelled like gasoline.

TRANSPORT
Red Lake Rosie's Rescue was able to arrange transport for Phoenix to Minneapolis through Leech Lake Legacy today. ACT V Rescue and Rehabilitation took in Phoenix and he is under the care of Dr. Vicki Schultz.
EXAM WITH DR. VICKI
EXHAUSTED
Marilou Chanrasmi met Dr. Vicki at her clinic when Phoenix arrived and took some beautiful photos. She reports that he is an absolute sweetheart. Dr. Vicki will provide details on his condition (and treatment/prognosis). The basics are that he is probably five months old, but weighs just 19 lbs and he was very hungry.

SHAVE

MALNOURISHED AND DEHYDRATED
The stench of charcoal and burned fur was very strong. Truly amazing how sweet and resilient these precious beings are despite what they have endured. We are thankful to all involved in his rescue and help.

Sincerely, Jo Tallchief, Karen Good, Carol Priest, and Polly McMaster RLRR Board members

You'd think that a people who profess to be SO "in-tune" with nature and claim to hold other species with such high religious reverence and respect would NOT perpetrate such heinous atrocities as the intentional "live-cremation" of this precious little soul.... but I guess "man-kind" will continue to demonstrate that they're anything BUT... regardless of race, color, or creed.

Prayers for this precious puppys speedy and complete recovery: SO grateful to know that - once healed - he will be placed in a thoroughly vetted, loving forever home... where he will INDEED be loved and cherished!

Please keep up appraised of Phoenix' progress, and advise when and where applications for his adoption may be made?

Bless you, for coming to his aid and salvation!

What in the name of all tha is holy, is wrong with people.? Do women actually carry these monsters for nine months, go through labor and child birth? So they can start animals on fire ? May you rot in hell where there is lots of fire. You bastards!
