I shared Lydia's story over the weekend, see that post
here. I am happy to report that ARVSS,
Animal Rescue and Veterinary Support Services in Stoughton, WI is taking in Lydia with her gunshot wound and her darling puppies.

Puppies! |
Today is the long transport with several volunteers driving: Karen will bring the precious cargo to meet Tom and Nancy O'Sullivan in Bemidji; the O'Sullivans drive Bemidji to Motley, Barbie Olson from Motley to the Metro, Kristin Ripley from the Metro to Black River Falls, Wisconsin, to meet Susie and Matt enroute to ARVSS, and everyone has the drive home after their leg of the transport. Thanks to all!!

Smoke and kittens |
The four tiniest kittens from Smoke's litter of eight are hitching a ride on the transport as far as the Metro to go to Pet Haven foster care via Mary Ann. Karen is still looking to place the gray mama cat Smoke and her four remaining kittens, and the three tortie kittens who are 8-10 weeks old and well-socialized thanks to a recent visit from Youth Works kids! They were featured in an earlier blog post
here.

Hi friends: I want
to thank each and every one of you for your kind and quick mobilization to get
Lydia and her litter of 5 to ARVSS and the 4 little kittens to Pet Haven.
Please let us know how Lydia heals from her wounds. She also has a bullet graze wound under her
jaw.
THANK YOU ALL! Karen and Red Lake Rosie's Rescue

Karen, you are an absolute angel for helping Lydia and pups. They all would have perished without your help. Thank you! And a big thank you to the transporters and to ARVSS for helping Lydia get the medical care required.
We ned to add a great transport helper- Barbie Olson to metro- Kristin Ripley to Black River Falls- and then Matt and Susie to ARVSS,
