Spud

Red Lake Rosie's Rescue received a call from a local lady who lives in Circle Pines. She had rescued a small-breed dog that a group of kids were hurting. She had witnessed the kids being mean to this little dog on several occasions, so Spud came to our shelter and went to All Dog in foster care with John.

Now little Spud has a great life and we want to thank everyone who made that possible. Have a great day. Good news is wonderful! Karen
UDPATE FROM ADOPTERS:
Spud was rescued in December 2011 while being abused by a group of children in Northern Minnesota. But you would never know it from his gentle, loving and playful disposition!
DNA tests tell us he is 1/2 Jack Russell Terrier Mix and 1/2 English Springer Spaniel Mix. Within those mixes are Chihuahua, Pointer, Papillion, Welsh Spaniel and Terrier. Quite the mutt, eh?
Spud now lives a charmed life in South Minneapolis. He enjoys running around in the backyard, playing with his best friend, a 4 year old Vizsla named Miete, going on walks, doing tricks for new human friends and will do ANYTHING for a piece of dehydrated lamb lung! uggggh!

And another update on Spud!

We left the cold winters and humid summers of Minnesota and are now settled in Palm Springs, California. Needless to say, Spud loves it here! In the summer, we have to go out before 9 and after sunset so the pavement (and even the grass!) cools off. Otherwise, things are great with Spud; he's happy and healthy (but he does miss his Foster Dad John!)
