Garage Sale donations needed by Monday

REMINDER:
Susan is coordinating a combined Animal Ark/Red Lake Rosie's Rescue benefit garage sale on September 10 & 11th from 7-5.

She can take donations up until Monday, September 6th. Leave donations behind the fence, if she is not home.

She needs bake sale items, too, so if you have nothing to donate, consider baking/buying some treats for the sale and/or donating bottled water, diet Coke or Coke.

Molly's wonderful day!

We took care of Nova today while our neighbor Travis worked. It was very hot and he had to work an 11-hour day. Since Nova stays in the garage in a kennel while Travis works, we decided to invite Nova to spend a day with Molly. Our neighbor is not usually gone that long and is very good to his dog, but due to these unusual circumstances, we decided to have a "play date" for Molly and Nova today. They had soooo much fun; and after 11 hours together, they were both just exhausted!

We told our neighbor to put his dog in our backyard when he left for work. We made sure there was plenty of water for her and she knows our yard, because Nova and Molly play together almost every night. Let us just say that Molly knew the "minute" Nova was in our yard as she was "crying at the bedroom window" to go outside @ 6:30 this morning. A minute later, we heard Travis' truck start up!

We immediately put Molly outside with Nova, and they were together until 5:30 tonight. They played in the yard, they came inside the house and played, they ate, they napped, and they totally loved their day together. We had two very happy, but tired dogs by 5:30!

I have so many cute pictures of my two babies! Molly just loves Nova, but is a little jealous when Nova gets hugs and kisses from HER mom and dad. She is totally willing to share her food, her toys, her bones, and her yard with Nova, but is still not so sure about sharing her "favorite people" - Mom and Dad. We make sure to make two plates of food, throw two balls, have two treats, and tell both dogs they are "good girls". We can tell that Molly just loves Nova as when we tell her to give "Nova kisses", she does. They get along so well, it is really scary. Karen, we would love for you to see Molly and Nova together - it is a truly unique canine relationship....

Also, Bev called right after Nova and Travis left and asked if they could come over for a visit. Molly was dead-tired; sleeping on the couch, but we never turn away friends... The minute we mentioned Woofer to Molly, she was ready to go again. We had another nice visit with Bev and Woofer and will include pictures of that as well. I assume Molly will sleep very well tonight, and she was super hungry at supper!

Guy gets girl, and a new family, too

Hi Karen,
Here is Guy with his new family! His name is now Otis and his sister there is also a Red Lake Puppy from 2008--she was Cortny when she came here, and her name is now Prudence.

PRUDENCE & OTIS AND FAMILYD&J are wonderful people! They came to one of our Meet & Greets--not to get their next dog, but to get food for the dog they have.
Prudence is good with other dogs, but is usually a bit overbearing. So when she took right to Guy with no issues of dominace, they knew he was their next dog.

GUY/OTISGuy is having a wonderful life. He is pretty much J's new buddy.
He loves truck rides with John and loves his new family. He gets to jump in the pool to get all wet. He and Prudence take turns at top dog--but always get along and are inseparable!

J~ says they could not asked for a couple of better dogs!

Hey Karen,
Our sweet Paula has finally been adopted! She had to wait until after her teatments for Demodex mange---But last night this family spent about an hour playing and walking with her--and they all loved each other!
I could not be more happy for Paula :))))) This is a great fit.

Hi Susie,

We’ve had a delightful evening with Paula (now most likely Ava). She slept most of the way home—even with fast food in the car. She also has tried her new crate and explored the house and backyard and was adored by the neighbors. She ate for us tonight and seems very at home.

We’ve been doing a little puppy proofing—especially after she tried my laptop cord.

Thanks for all your work to make her healthy and help her find a home!
