Tinkerbell and the balloon

We sent this kitten to Act V with a injured front foot.

Apparently, the kitten was a gift to a young child and had a string with a balloon tied to her foot. Before the parents noticed, the foot was damaged.

Again confirms "Animals are not toys" :(

The good news is Dr. Vickie thinks she can save the foot- and the foster mom loves the kitten and is hoping to adopt her.

Act V also had a great update on ALL injured animas sent to Dr. Vickie including Petey, Ina with eye damage, and Lionel with broken leg--all successfully healed and either adopted or on their way to adoption. Thanks Act V!!

Very Special Transport to end September

September 26 we had a smaller transport due to the number of special needs animals that had very special placements. Transporters included Mike Wilson to Bemidji to meet the O'Sullivans; the O'Sullivans to Motley to meet Dee Dee, and she went on to the metro.

GIRL DOGWe sent Girl Dog, a cream colored lab that was left when her 88-year-old master died. Girl Dog has a rear foot that has been injured and will require medical care. We are happy that Animal Ark took her and is taking great care of her. Ark also took 2 little black labbies.

THREE LABBIESMolly, the white labbie was adopted to a couple in Bemidji.

LIONELAlso on the special transport was Lionel, a little shepherd that was hit by car and had a hairline fracture on his rear leg. The vet in Gonvick put a splint on his leg and Dr. Vickie of Act V took over for this very dear puppy.

CINDY LOUCindy Lou, the runt of a litter has some problems with her little feet. Although she is about 9 weeks old, she has some problems walking. We noticed that she absolutely loves puppy milk replacer. She went to live with Nancy of Pet Projects.

BRIDGETBeautiful Bridget went to Patti at Second Hand Dog in Claremont, Minnesota.

CORKYLast but not least, Corky a little juvenile labbie went to All Dog Rescue.

SUNNY TALKINGOur little Sunny had a foster home, but the tiny kitten never made the transport as she passed away early on Saturday morning.

SUNNY PLAYINGWe were very sad to lose this little darling.

SUNNY RESTINGWe desperately need more foster homes for cats and kittens.

Thank you all who made this very special transport possible.

Sincerely, Karen Good
