Thanks to our faithful Red Lake Rosie's Rescue volunteers from the metro, Mike, Nate, Heidi and Barbie, 15 animals left on Sunday morning on two transports.
HUG AND A KISS
Mike and Nate took 4 puppies and 2 cats enroute to Twin City Pet Rescue and Karen met Barbie in Bemidji with 9 dogs and puppies enroute to All Dog, Pet Haven and MUSHR.
BARBIE
NATE & ASTRA
Heidi headed off to Leech Lake to meet the O'Sullivans with the Bemidji Pound animals, and load up the Leech Lake Pound animals enroute to AHS.
DONATED FOOD
A large load of dog and cat kibble donated by Chuck and Don's with the help of DeeDee was transported by Barbie to Bemidji. RLRR animals are so happy to see the kibble as we were almost out of dog food!
CATORI & ASTRA SAY GOODBYE
We said our goodbyes to Astra and Catori who had been at the shelter for a long while. Both animals transformed from starving mangey lifeless animals to very beautiful creatures.
SILVER & SAFFIRE
Silver and Saffire, two semi feral puppies went to MUSHR.

Sierra went to Pet Haven.

Millie the chihuahua went with Lindsay after the clinic.

David and Linda visited the RLRR shelter arriving on Friday January 13 and spending THREE days helping take care of cats and dogs. The weather was cold on Friday but warmed up nicely through the weekend.
LINDA
We were busy stripping kennels and dog houses and replenishing with nice clean, dry straw for everyone.
Linda spent time with three semi-feral puppies, Starr, Silver and Saffire who had mange and were malnourished and she made good progress with them. They arrived on Wednesday with their mother, Nokomis (Grandmother) a pure white husky who has mange and sores all over her sides. This little family is tucked in and in the process of healing.
DAVID
David took no breaks and spent his time with cats when not busy in the shelter yard.
VICTOR
It was espcially a good visit for Linda as she had hoped that Victor, a dog with bad legs, would get help. She had met Victor earlier this fall when weatherizing the kennels, and now she gets to be the one to transport Victor to a foster home with MN Paws under the direction of Dr. Melissa Doeskin. Victor will get the medical care he needs and hopes for a good home.
Three beautiful juvenile cats, Faith, Fern and Fiona went to Pet Haven foster care and Gwen a long haired tortie went to Feline Rescue.
JASMINE
Jasmine, a very beautiful boxer mix, who had lovely eyes and a personality to match went to All Dog foster care.
Last, but not least, Spike went on to the care of Pet Haven and will never have to suffer again.
Thank you to volunteers, tranporters, rescues that take Red Lake animals, and to all the contributors who send food, supplies, and funds to save these wonderful animals. Without all the help we get we could not do what we do.

Some years it is the black dog- some years the brown dog- and this year it happened to be the white dog.

We had so many white dogs and puppies this year.

Fortunately, white dogs are very desireable and we moved many to rescues and foster care.
