Holiday Wish List for Red Lake Rosie's Rescue

As you start your Holiday shopping, consider a donation to Red Lake Rosie's Rescue:

We could use pledges for heat for the cathouse/shelter. The heat is electric and runs about $300 per month in winter months. We use about $2,200 year on the electric bill. Our account is at Red Lake Electric Cooperative, 412International Drive, Red Lake Falls, MN 56750.
Our account is Red Lake Rosie's Rescue, Inc., Account # 9518005.03

An automatic dishwasher is needed for cleaning pet food dishes. This would not only be a timesaver, but it would sanitize the dishes better than handwashing. An industrial strength/professional model would be most appropriate.

A shop vacuum is needed for cleaning in the cat house. It is very difficult to clean out the big kennels without one. Cleaner cages will keep the animals healthier.

2 good quality pitch forks for clean straw into kennels and soiled straw out. The two we have have bent tines and make the job harder.

A couple of good mops and a couple of new stiff bristle brooms would be nice.

We need cat litter- we are going through a lot with the high volume of cats.

We need dog & cat kibbleand leashes

Donations toward our routine medical expenses, for example:
feline distemper shot - $18
feline rabies shot - $20
FeLV/FIV test - $30
heartworm test - $20
canine DHPP and Rabies - $40

Ivermectin is a standard mange supply which is $30/ 100 mL when we buy bulk 500mL. (l00 mL will cure at least 60 dogs/pups)

We use lots of SMZ (sulfatrimeth) antibiotics for skin and intestinal infections in dogs at .35 per tablet. We buy bulk 800 tabs

We also purchase Albon for intestinal infection of cats/kittens, dogs/pups who have diahrea - cost per 200 mL = $118

We also need Revolution for cats/kittens and dogs/puppies for fleas and other parasites. It is quite expensive at about $10.00 per dose.

Also, the doses of pyrantel, puppy shots @ $9 each.

Money donations for the vet bill.

What we DON'T need currently is blankets, dog collars, canned foods, towels, laundry soap, dish soap, puppy sweaters, kitty blankets, litter boxes. Thanks to donations we have all of this is abundance at this time.

Thank you so much, Karen
