Carl kitten

UPDATE FROM ADOPTERS:
Carl (formerly Sinjin) is doing great after four months in his new home. Although his life didn't start out very well at all, he's such a loving, snuggly, and inquisitive little guy. He's named after Carl Sagan, another gentle and curious soul.

His favorite toys are Da Bird, sparkle balls, and his tail. He's very good at playing fetch. He loves picking up things and carrying them around -- very cute with cat toys, but make sure to watch any small items that you put down. Carl got a lot of praise the one time I caught him carrying around a real live mouse, which he handed over without a fuss.

Carl's other favorite activities are snuggling up with his people, stalking his people (he's pretty easy to spot, really), watching birds outside, and watching the toilet flush. The only misbehaviors have been too much interest in wires and plants and bothering Emma, the older cat. Actually, he has been known to climb curtains and peoples' legs, but one can hardly get too annoyed with a cute kitten.

Most all of the time, he's a perfect little gentleman. He's also turned into quite a talker -- it didn't take him long to learn that meowing and trilling gets extra attention and treats.

Many thanks to RLRR and all the wonderful people who helped save this little life. His troubles are over now!

Karen's cats

Karen has had a significant number of cats (and dogs) surrendered to Red Lake Rosie's Rescue in advance of the spay/neuter clinic this week.

These animals have been vetted and it will be very helpful to move them from the reservation as soon as possible because more animals will be abandoned at the clinic and there won't be room.

Does anyone have room at a shelter, foster home; maybe you know someone looking to adopt? Please contact Karen if you can help at keg@gvtel.com
