Rupert/Regi: Another dog rescued from the dumpster

UPDATE FROM FOSTER MOM MARY W:
Rupert (fka Regi) was adopted November 2009. (Read our first blog post here; he was our "Trash to Treasure" dog.) He was my foster right before Lorna. I first met him when I visited Red Lake Rosie's Rescue with Jessie M and then a month later he was ready for rescue, so I fostered him. Easiest foster yet (but smelliest!)
RUPERT'S MOM SAYS:
"Just wanted to say I am so thankful to have him in our life ! Thanks for your part!"

We love updates on RLRR animals :-)

FROM MARY:
Got an update on a former foster tonight - Regi who I fostered thru All Dog Rescue back in November 2009.

RUPERT NOW"Hi Mary, just thought I would give you an update, as another year has gone by.

Rupert is great!!!! Everyone thinks we have the best dog and I have to agree.

He still sings to the TV and loves to sit and watch TV after his walks.

I am still being stopped all the time people wanting to know what kind of dog he is because he is so good-looking.

REGI/RUPERT AT RLRRThanks again for helping to bring Rupert to us. We will always be grateful!!! "

Regi: From Trash to Treasure

NOTE FROM REGI'S FOSTER HOME:
Just thought I'd let you know that Regi is doing well. He is so sweet and such a little kissy, snuggly thing.

He started playing with toys right away, but I've had to hand feed him otherwise he won't eat. He slept thru the night without a peep.

My dog Olive is trying to get him to play but scares him a bit, I don't blame him!

Do you know what his story is? Where he came from etc?

RESPONSE FROM KAREN:
Hi Mary and thank you for the email.

Regi came from the Red Lake garbage dump where he was left because he had mange and the people no longer wanted him. This sweet boy was found by Polly, one of our committee members, and then he came to the shelter.

He is a very timid boy who needs tlc, for which you are an expert :)

Thank you for loving and caring for Regi- "One man's trash is
another man's treasure" which is the case with Regi.

Karen
