Remembering Reilly

RLRR wants to remember Reilly who lived for seven years as a resident dog at Red Lake Rosie’s Rescue. Reilly had freedom to both be at the shelter and live indoors in the house. Being a working dog, Reilly loved his freedom and involved himself in all the business of the shelter. Reilly was the chairman of the welcoming committee -- always inspecting food deliveries.

Reilly also became much beloved at the Red Lake Elementary School where he often visited and was an ambassador for RLRR among the teachers and students there.

Reilly loved cats and kittens and often would stare for hours on end at the new arrivals. His interest in ducks was not so noble as once he broke into a duck pen and the outcome was not good for the duck. Twice Reilly tangled with a skunk and was banned from the house and had a tomato juice bath.

I love this picture horsing around with Polly. Reilly is wearing the Dalmatian head from our costume as Polly and Mouser look on laughing!

Reilly was greatly loved and is sadly missed as he crossed the rainbow bridge in October, 2016. He leaves behind an empty massage chair in our home that he had claimed for his own.
