December 18 transport

A transport went out on Saturday, December 18 carrying 14 animals of which 4 were in need of very special care.

WHITE BUFFALOWhite Buffalo came here some time ago as a stray starving and mangey.
He had a large white build hence the name, and when he left he weighed in at 92 lbs. His mange was well under control and he was neutered and vaccinated. His mange, however, had gotten into the eyes and he had a condition of entropia where the eyelids curl under and irritate the eyes. They were red and inflamed. He was operated on at the Clearwater vet the day before he left for a foster home with MARS. They report he is doing well there.

MAH-KOONSEAlso, Mah Koonse (which means Bear Cub), a black chow shep mix came in a week before the transport. Bear Cub had a badly injured leg from a dog attack while trying to get food. He was abandoned, so a man from the Circle Pines brought him to RLRR. Thankfully, Act V took him and I am told that he has a bone infection and a broken leg. He is now safely in Dr. Vickie's care.

AURELIAAurelia, a little shep mix, was found in an abandoned house by the housing workers when they went in to renovate a home. The people moved out and left her locked in. She was in the house over a week, and was pretty malnourished and dehydrated on arrival. She got a lucky break and is in the care of Crystal a RLRR volunteer foster.

KANEKane, a cocker spaniel, went to Barb in foster care for All Dog Rescue. This little boy had severe double ear infection and was badly in need of a bath and grooming. We are finding out he has food aggression problems so are trying to find him help.

DEACONDeacon, a german shepherd went to Second Hand Dogs in Claremont.

LITTER OF SEVENA litter of 7 puppies went to Northwoods.

JEMAL
DIANAJemal and Diana and two more puppies went to Tricounty.

The O'Sullivans and Barbara Olson made the transport possible.

Thank you to all the great people and great rescue groups/foster homes who are making this a special Christmas for each of the precious and needy animals on this transport.

Karen
