Baby Bailey

This is one of a husky threesome rescued by Polly in Red Lake. We are so happy that one has found her new home!

Karen
I am happy to announce the adoption of Bailey, one of the husky pup girls that came down from Red Lake Rosie's Rescue a couple weeks ago.

After looking for a young husky for about two months, she was the only one that her new parents applied for. Her new family consists of three kids ranging in ages from 15 to 18, a mom and dad, a feline sister (Luna) and Yorkie sister (Lola).

Her parents were VERY excited to pick her up and complete the adoption tonight and were going to run out and pick up some toys! They do plan to rename her but have not decided on a name yet (we'll see if Bailey sticks!).

Her new owners will be bringing her to the local PetSmart training class, as their trainer for Lola is a husky owner so they thought that would be perfect.

Special thanks to Shanna and Tyson for yet another successful adoption and resisting the "hoarding" temptation on this one! ;)

Also, for the record, after spending about 3 hours with this vocal little lady, I am officially taking myself off the list of potential husky puppy foster homes. :)

Thanks to everyone who played a hand in this girl's placement!

Saved from dump for a life of love & luxury

BAILEY'S STORY:
In August 2011, Bailey was brought to the Ponemah shuttle for the animal clinic in Red Lake. This little brindle beagle mix was a very timid and sweet dog.

BAILEY AFTERThe girl that brought her said that she rescued her from the Ponemah dump and was trying her best, but did not have food and medicine to cure the mange.

BAILEY BEFOREBailey came to Red Lake Rosie's Rescue after getting spayed at the clinic.

We are so happy to give the dear Ponemah dogs the help they needed! They have been eating nonstop for the past 3 weeks as they were so hungry on arrival.

On September 7, Bailey left for a foster home with Pet Haven and now she is settled in her new home. Thank you, Pet Haven!

Karen

NOTE FROM PETHAVEN:
Look at little Bailey now -- living large in a loft overlooking downtown Minneapolis and the Mississippi River.

Bailey is now taking obedience classes (where she is, of course, the smartest dog).

She takes walks downtown near the Guthrie and has many new puppy friends in the building.

This is the life.

Ponemah dogs looking for homes

Two Ponemah dogs, Captain and Bailey, were surrendered at a clinic and came in quite malnourished and mangy. Now they are in great hands at Pet Haven!

Bailey

BAILEY NOWOn August 22nd Bailey was brought to the Ponemah shuttle for the clinic. This little brindle beagle mix was a very timid and sweet dog. The girl that brought her along with one other said that she rescued them from the Ponemah dump and was trying her best, but did not have food and medicine to cure their mange.

Both Kingston and Bailey came to the shelter after they were fixed at the clinic, and, on September 7, Bailey left for a foster home with Pet Haven.

We are so happy to have these 2 dear Ponemah dogs get the help they needed. They have been eating nonstop for the past 3 weeks as they were so hungry on arrival.

Thank you Pet Haven for taking her!

September 26 transport

We were very blessed to have another transport on Sunday, September 26. Karen and Geri met Nancy and Carolyn in Bemidji to send off a nice group of dogs/puppies and one kitten named Jazzy. They went on to Motley to meet our faithful transporter Barbie Olson who took the kids the rest of the way. She also delivered food and supplies.

BAILEY & BAXTERBaily and Baxter to Tricounty.
