Happy Endings for a pair of pups

Two pups were found in a box near some railroad tracks. They were nearly bald from mange. First stop was Red Lake Rosie's Rescue, then they joined a Leech Lake Legacy transport to the Twin Cities where they were fostered and adopted out by All Dog Rescue. Here are photos sent in by their new families:

MISHKA (FORMERLY SHAKIRA): Mishka's family sent a photo of their beautiful girl and her new toys! Former foster mom commented, "This gal turned out sooooo gorgeous - her hair was shiny and wavy - very nice young couple adopted her and she has already been introduced to many family members - Mishka means Little Bear in Russian - the young man was originally born in the Ukraine."

ALEX (FORMERLY THOR): Alex's family sent us some photos of their growing boy and said he's doing great! Former foster mom commented, "This guy was in the worst shape - is doing great with his family (including a 7-year-old, 2-legged child and a 7-year-old, 4-legged kid)."

Some pups get BIG -- like Alex

UPDATE FROM RLRR ADOPTER:
Hello! We ended up doing a DNA test on Alex (formerly Snoopy) to try and figure out what kind of dog he is. I get asked all the time what kind of dog he is and now I can tell them. I thought for sure he would be part Great Dane but he isn’t. He is Dalmatian, Labrador Retriever, American Staffs. Terrier and other mix breads. I can see the Dalmatian and Labrador in him...

ALEX THE PUPHe is such a wonderful dog, D~! We love him so much! I am so glad he came into our lives!

Happy Birthday, Dear Alex!

Hello!

I wanted to share pictures of Alex (formerly Snoopy) with you.

Our family picked July 4th as his birthday. So he is officially one year old. Of course we had to celebrate his birthday. He now knows how to open up presents.

LOVES BIRTHDAY PRESENTSHe is very much a “mama’s boy”. Follows me around everywhere!! (which I love) I enjoy playing hide and go seek with him. It is so cute because he tears up the house looking for me.

LAP DOGHe is now 58 pounds and still thinks he is a lap dog. I don’t know if he will ever stop growing. I didn’t think he was going to get this big. He is very tall and lean. He runs like a horse!

NAP DOGUp until a month ago he was still sleeping with Greg and I but Greg kicked him out of our bed. Now Alex has his own bed and blanket right next to our bed. As soon as Greg gets out of bed in the morning Alex climbs in our bed and snuggles with me.

ALEX/SNOOPY AS A BABYI want to thank you again for introducing us to Alex. He is very much part of our family. We all enjoy him and love him so much! He has been a GREAT dog. Thanks again!

SS~
