UPDATE ON TWO BROTHERS FROM THE RUSSIAN CIRCUS TROUPE: So funny you should have written as I have had it on my heart to send some updated photos for a few days now.
Hard to pick from the hundreds we have and also hard to believe these are not staged but this is WHAT they do.
They are a hoot.
BANDIT & SMOKE AND NEW BROTHER RUMORThey are food hounds and will leap tall buildings as soon as I begin to prepare a meal and do not leave until the dishes are done.
Smoke LOVES butter and cheese which is just hilarious.
Bandit is the thief his name implies. He has been seen stealing clothes, shoes, cough drops, trash, kleenex, pillows and much more.
Smoke is still very small in comparison and we are just loving that.
At night as settle down to relax, he always jumps up on the couch and sleeps on the couch ledge behind our head till we retire for bed. It is really sweet.
Remember the Russian Circus Troupe? The six "Russian Blue" kittens with energy to burn and their beautiful mom? First, the two girls, Katya and Svetlana, went to homes and then mom, Meeko. Now two of the boys, Sergei and Dimitri, are in a new home together with their new names of Bandit & Smoke. The two boys, Andrei & Alexei remain in foster care and are so anxious to find a home together!
BROTHERS IN BEDADOPTER UPDATE #1: Well, Smoke and Bandit are getting worn out exploring the house. We have 3 floors and about 4500 square feet with lots of interesting spots to hide and play. They are not as interested in us as of yet, but did sleep in Kaylyn's bed which is sweet. I suspect until they feel comfortable with their surroundings, we will not be of much interest. They did take well to Rumor's food, so no problem there at all.
BANDIT IN A BOXWe did the introduction using two rooms and then let them out. Rumor, our cat, is not all that pleased but is much better today. He will adjust, I think, but taking longer than I thought it might. I am sure his injured leg does not help. We will get some great photos and send them along when we do. Will keep you posted as well.
COMFY COZY BROTHERSADOPTER UPDATE #2: Almost wish I could scoop up the other two as well! (Andrei & Alexei) I so support your ruling to keep Smoke and Bandit together, they are amazing. Better behaved than most adults I know, hah hah.
RUSSIAN BOYS & RUMORThey have been so gracious trying to get to know our cat Rumor. They lay down a few feet away and toss their toy at him to see if he will come over and play. Rumor has stopped growling and is showing interest but not playing yet. His foot is still on the mend so that is playing into this as well.
SMOKE COZYBANDIT IN BEDWE ARE THRILLED WITH THE KITTENS! This could not have gone better from our point of view. We have taken hundreds of photos. I will definitely send one of all three are doing something fun when that happens!
SMOKE EXPLORINGThe funniest thing they did was Smoke was walking on the dining room chairs, musical chair style, and Bandit was following him forwards and backwards on top of the table! What a hoot to watch.
BANDITThey both seem to want to be lap cats at the moment which we are really encouraging and both sleep with Kaylyn on her bed which is making her happy and giving Rumor some sleep time.
BANDIT CURLNAUGHTY BANDITOh, the other thing they did several times is attempt to walk through our glass railings. Way too funny. They could see where they wanted to go but just could not get there! Made a huge thud each attempt.
SMOKE ON COUCHHere are few photos to hold you over. I will send future fun photos as they come along and as they continue to grow up. They are just what our family needed right now. A true gift from God!

Russian Circus Troupe?? Well, at least of three of the kittens look like the lovely Russian Blue breed and the circus describes their activities. There are four boys and two girls and this family photo includes all but Katya, the smallest and shyest girl. From left to right you have Dimitry, Sergei (the two fluffy medium hair kittens), Aleksei (the class clown), Svetlana (the spunky sister) and Andrei.
Check out the kittens in action in this video. It was their first day of freedom in this room full of toys. This group of Red Lake kittens was found with their mom at the dump. They were born around August 25, 2009
KATYAKatya is a lovely blue cream tabby with short hair. She is the smallest kitten and more reserved than her boisterous siblings, but also joins in the fun and likes some quiet lap time, too.
SVETLANASvetlana is a solid blue/grey kitten and the largest of the bunch. She has a determined expression on her face and holds her own with all her brothers.
SERGEISergei is a lovely blue cream tabby with medium fur and seems very aware of his good looks since he is always ready to pose for the camera.
DIMITRYDimitry is the other fluffy -- super fluffy -- kitten with beautiful dark gray medium lenth fur. He is the smallest boy, but doesn't look it.
ANDREIAndrei has the classic Russian Blue good looks with a solid grey short coat. He's an easy-going guy who loves life like the rest.
ALEKSEIAleksei is unquestionably the clown. It's hard to believe that he can be in so many places at the same time. His markings are special because he has the only white trim of the whole family -- a white spot on his throat, one on his heart, and a darling white bikini on his abdomen.
BLUES CLUESBLUES CLUES isn't related to the Russians, she was found all alone, but she is a member of this family now. She is about the same age and perhaps the largest of the group. She is a delightful brown tabby with tons of spunk and curiosity, who will surprise you with just how much she likes to cuddle and just how loud she can purr.
All the kittens are spayed/neutered, vetted and ready for adoption. If you can't adopt, but would consider fostering a pair of these kittens. Their current foster mom is rather overwhelmed -- Yup, that's me ;-)
