Road improvements to the rescue

We are so happy to now have a road to the shelter. The project was completed by Dahlen Brothers Construction yesterday. If a road can be beautiful, this one is.

ROAD BEFOREThe road has been a challenge the past years as snow would build up in winter and when it rained in the summer this road was mud holes.

ROAD PROJECT 1Many of the volunteers who came got their cars all muddy when coming to the shelter. The Road before picture tells it all. Now that problem is a thing of the past.

ROAD PROJECT 2In addition to the road, the shelter yard has been ditched so that water will not collect in the yard making a mess, and providing a breeding ground for mosquitos.

ROAD PROJECT 3We are thankful to Joan Lawson of the Lawson Family Fund and the William and Charlotte Parks Foundation who provided the necessary $14,000 to complete this project. This is a wonderful improvement and we are jumping for joy!
