Chuck & Don's at RLRR

Red Lake Rosie's Rescue was pleased to welcome volunteers from Chuck & Don's Pet Food Outlet stores on Monday May 24. They spent the afternoon working at the shelter.

The C&D's volunteers were Jimmy Millard, mgr Mahtomedi store; Christine Stanton, mgr Elk River store, Nicole from the Wayzata store; and Daniel from the Bloomington store.

We stripped kennels as we are switching from straw to hosing them out with water. It was a very wet and messy job, but all the volunteers worked so hard. It was also raining most of the time they were here, but it did not hamper their spirits to get the work done!

They also cleaned in the cathouse and did the cat chores. They loved interacting with the animals and they said they had a great time and would love to return.

From the shelter they went to the clinic and helped out on Tuesday.

We enjoyed them all and also are so thankful for the financial support of Chuck and Don's.

The grant for one day of the clinic came from Pet Haven's Spay/Neuter Initiative (SNI), and Pet Haven received the funds from last winter's C & D's Paw Prints campaign. They also provide lots of food for the shelter.

Thank you Chuck & Don's from the Red Lake animals!
