On July 5th, Polly and Dan got information that a dog was chained to a cinder block at the Circle Pines garbage dump. They answered the call and found a Rottweiler female who was very hungry, dehydrated,
and suffered from mange. Thankfully they brought Alita to Red Lake Rosie’s Rescue and she began a journey of healing.

Alita hung her head and lowered her eyes in shame when approached. She was loaded with various intestinal parasites, and obviously had had many litters of puppies. Her ears were full of sores from fly strikes and engorged ticks were all over her body.

Alita was spayed, vaccinated, and began her mange treatment. In a short time she put on weight and her mange was disappearing. She gained some confidence, but still needed more care and love.

A Rotta Love Rescue took Alita into a foster home on July 27th and we are so happy that this very sweet girl now has a chance. She was abandoned as garbage but turned out to be a great treasure.
We appreciate the transporters, providers of food and medical funds, and the great rescues willing to give the Red Lake animals a chance. RLRR could not save animals like Alita without the donations of our supporters.

Rotta Love is an outstanding rescue. A huge thank you to them for taking in Alita.
Who does that? I believe in karma, when these ppls time comes to an end on earth, that dog will be in their way and ultimately block their way from crossing over. Unfinished business if you will.
My husband and I adopted "Alita"(we call her "Lita) around the first of October. She is doing fantastic and has been getting lots of love and attention in our home. She is almost done with obedience training and has learned commands with ease, as she is very, very intelligent. She is such a love bug and you can be assured that she has a great home and is warming the hearts of a few animal lovers who lost their last dog to cancer last summer. Thank you for saving Lita!
