Survivor update

Survivor, the kitten found at the dump with her dead littermates, is thriving in a Pet Haven foster home under a new name, Alana.

ALL EARS, EYES, AND LEGSThe kitten has been to the clinic and she tested negative for felv/fiv and had her first distemper vax. Her ears are greasy because she is getting an ointment in them to soften the ear mite debris that has collected. Canned kitten food is definitely her favorite - dry holds little appeal.

She is a live wire - not afraid of anything. Here are a few pix - she is either going 90 miles an hour or sleeping. She is the kind that stands on her back legs and bats her front ones at you. I think I know why she didn't get killed - she zips around too fast. She will follow you when you are walking but is not underfoot, mostly zipping by you.

LIVEWIREThe 4 yr old little girl in the foster home has named her Alana. This little kitten goes all out when she plays. We have numerous pictures of the floor to prove it and very few of them have any little brown tabby girl in them! She is ready to be picked up and held and loves to jump and arch her back in play to show you how big she is - all 1 lb. 12 oz. of her. She is not afraid of the dogs in her foster home and lays on her back while they nuzzle her belly and raises her legs to touch them.

SLEEPYTIME

FURTHER UPDATE:
She is a dog lover - and quite the spitfire. We have a whiney girl kitten here who was not pleased to see her and Alana jumped all over her one full day, the next day they did much better (because Daisy by and large kept her mouth shut!). The foster picked her up yesterday and e mailed to say she has their two female kittens who are several weeks older and much bigger terrorized and on top of a storage tub!
She loves the dogs -
