Celebrate the dog days of summer on St. Paul’s Grand Avenue where pets are welcome.  Grand Avenue businesses partner with local rescue groups to celebrate our four-legged friends.  Gather up giveaways, relax on pet-friendly restaurant patio's, learn about pet adoption, support Red Lake Rosie’s Rescue, and pose for the popular pet photo contest!  

Visit us on the patio of Mischief Toy Store, our partner store.  There will be a kiddie pool for your dog to splash around in and doggie treats.  We will have our popular RLRR t-shirts and hand made items such as doggie ear muffs, dog and cat couch potato pads, totes, multicolor paracord leashes, fleeced mittens, pillowcases, fabric trivets and tissue holders.  All proceeds benefit the animals of Red Lake.

Paws on Grand, August 7: Bring your dog!

We are partnering with D’amico and Sons, an Italian gourmet cafe and take-out restaurant located at 975 Grand Avenue in St. Paul (damicoandsons.com).

We’ll have several tables in the parking lot packed with Red Lake Rosie’s Rescue T-shirts and handmade items graciously donated by our volunteers. We have quilted dog and cat pads, fleece pads, dog coats, totes, dog hoodies, dog toys, catnip toys, pillowcases, wool mittens, insulated pot holders/trivets, scarves, and many other things for sale. ALL proceeds go to RLRR!

 D’Amico’s will be providing samples of their famous basil lemonade at our booth and will furnish a doggie dipping pool nearby. You can dine on their dog friendly patio and order their delicious food before or after shopping at our booth.

Over 30 Grand Avenue businesses are participating, many partnering with various rescue groups. There will be pet adoptions, a pet photo contest, pet photo booth, pet fashion show, pet portraits, blessing of the animals, dog washes, and giveaways.

Stop by our booth, learn more about Red Lake Rosie’s Rescue, and help support us so that we can help more animals. Be sure to let us know if your dog is originally from Red Lake!

RLRR at Paws on Grand 2014

Paws on Grand is always a super fun event for animal lovers, and this year was no exception. The Red Lake Rosie's Rescue table was in front of the Treadle Yard Goods.  

Kim brought her three adorable RLRR foster puppies and passers by found them absolutely irresistible! No one seemed to be able to walk by without petting, cuddling, taking pictures and gushing over them. They really did steal the show.

We had continuous visitors the entire day. It was an excellent opportunity for Jill, Kim and I to tell people about the work, mission and success of Red Lake Rosie's Rescue, the one and only Karen Good, and the many faithful and dedicated volunteers.

The Red Lake Rosie's Rescue table was quite busy at Paws on Grand last Sunday. Lots of people with Red Lake Rosie's dogs stopped by, including Bart the Dumpster dog who was wearing his BartCam and filming his journey down Grand Avenue. My friends Katie & Geno of Kage Imagery do all kinds of wonderful photography. They also are great volunteers and supporters of animal rescue work.
