Jordan is now Jax

Jordan was rescued by Sarah, Dino, 2 other friends and myself during the October clinic.  The place had 8 adult dogs, a litter of puppies and NO FOOD.  Thankfully we were able to get 4 of the littermates who were juvenile at that time, very hungry and unsocial.  I was happy to get this update yesterday!

UDPATE FROM ADOPTER:
Last October we rescued a dog (originally his name was Jordan) from the Goodhue County Humane Society.  They said that when he was found he was starved and really in rough shape.  Originally your organization rescued him.  I just wanted to thank you for all that you do for these amazing animals.  We couldn’t be happier with our boy.

His name is now Jax.  He is the most sensitive, loving puppy and he brings so much joy to our lives.  I can’t even remember what our lives were like before him.  We have two other shepherds and we had a hard time in the past doing foster care.  It was hard to find the right match that got along with our guys.  But when we brought Jax home they instantly clicked.  It was like it was meant to be.

If it weren’t for you, these amazing animals would not have a chance!
Thank you again and we couldn’t love our baby Jax any more than we do.  He means the world to us.

Sincerely J~

It's been a great fall for dog walking!

My friend and co-worker, Sue, has two dogs from Red Lake Rosie's Rescue via Animal Ark. They were among a group at the dog park recently.

Some of us girls met at a dog park this past Sunday with our puppies.

The only thing better than one Red Lake dog...

UPDATE FROM ADOPTER OF TWO RLRR PUPS:
We adopted Jax in January from Animal Ark and in March just planned a Saturday visit with the friendly staff down there to show off Jax, when we met Hera. She ended up coming home with us that day!

BABY HERA AND LITTERMATESThe two of them are a perfect match for each other, both Shepherd mixes. Linda from Animal Ark had sent me this picture of her when she was rescued and I thought she was super cute, but had no idea she would soon be a part of our family!

HERA & JAXWe never had 2 dogs before and now I know that two is better than one! They are training together, playing together, giving us double the entertainment and double the love.

I can honestly say I now love getting up in the morning, to be greeted so warmly by two precious pups just makes my day start out right. They both have a deep respect for our cat, Martini. I hope to someday capture of picture of all 3 of them together.

Thanks again Rosie’s Rescuers and Animal Ark!

Yum-Yum pup survives to thrive

The Yum Yum pups left Red Lake just a few weeks ago and unfortunately became ill with parvo. Little Bart was a survivor and now he is settled into his new home.

NEW HOME REPORT:
Jax (fka Bart) was one of the Yum-Yum pups that was rescued at the Red Lake Indian Reservation. He and his litter mates were lovingly fostered by Linda, a volunteer at Animal Ark. Rich and I first met Jax on New Year’s eve and we brought him home a week later after his neuter.

JAX AND BFF ODIEHe is very smart, quite gentle, often playful, and extremely handsome! He starts puppy class next week. He also just received a clean bill of health from our vet. We love him a lot and are so grateful to the rescue workers, the volunteers and no-kill shelters.
