Catori--Many helped save her

CATORI ADOPTED
Thank you Leech Lake Legacy for giving us the opportunity to have Catori, a real jewel, on loan at Red Lake Rosie's Rescue. She was transformed into a beautiful creature and today-April 14th was adopted to her forever home through All Dog Rescue. No evidence of mange or malnourishment, and no emotional damage.
SAD CATORI IN THE POUND
Thank you for her rescue- we grew to love her dearly, and she became who she was meant to be, with her beautiful spirit inside that shone outside- Makes our teamwork and mutual stuggle to help these animals SOOO worthwhile.
CATORI ARRIVES AT RLRR
This work is so valuable, as you all can see. We all grow stronger as we keep going on and hoping for each one. They never fail to amaze us.

Thank you to Nancy, Tom, Barbie, Jenny, Marilou and All Dog for giving Catori an opportunity for a good home.

Spirit of Catori & Bosco

CATORI & BOSCO AT THE POUNDRed Lake Rosie's was moved by a little family, Catori (Spirit) and her pup, Bosco, possibly the only survivor of her litter, who were at the Cass Lake Pound and would have no where to go because they both had mange. Of course we answered the request from Leech Lake Legacy to help the little pair.

CATORI ON ARRIVAL AT RLRRCATORI'S FACE ON ARRIVALCATORI'S TAIL ON ARRIVALNancy and Tom as usual responded and transported them to RLRR on January 7th. They were a real mess. Both malnourished and full of mange and Catori, in particular had suffered a long time and had hair loss and lesions. Her haunting eyes looked sad and lifeless, something we have seen time and again at RLRR. We were confident, however, that she will be a beauty in short order.

CATORI & HER PUP BOSCOOnly 2 weeks later she is playing, lesions are healing, and hair is regrowing. Her personality is shining through and she is very social and happy. She has gained quite a few pounds already with all the great grain-free food. Her intense itching has stopped as the mange mites are all dead now.

BOSCOBOSCO WALKINGJanuary 23rd was a bittersweet and special day, as Catori's only pup Bosco was leaving for Twin City Pet Rescue into a foster home. Bosco recently developed rickets on his rear legs, a condition that is common in pups who are malnourished prenatally and after birth. Catori had little nutrition to give Bosco but now on a great diet he is growing. His leg growth is not quite even yet, but he should grow out of this condition in a few weeks. (Twin City Pet Rescue is very familiar with the condition as they have had many such pups come to them.)

CATORI SAYS GOODBYE TO BOSCOThey spent their last night together in the kennel, and said their goodbyes. Bosco on to a new life and Catori continuing to blossom into a very special dog who will also leave in a few weeks to her forever home.

We are thankful for supporters of RLRR, LLL, transporters and advocates who look out for animals like Catori and Bosco- who without the networking of all would be considered "disposable". They are indeed great jewels!

Peace-
Karen RLRR
