RAGOM (Retrieve A Golden Of MN) has never refused help to any Golden Retriever we find in need of rescue. We are so thankful for all they have done for the Red Lake Goldens. Dandi found her new home in less than ten days!
Thank you RAGOM!!!
Sincerely,

Dandi #12-157
(Fostered in Deer River, MN)
April 15, 2012
Oh where do I even start with this sweet girl! Her name is Dandi, she is 1.5 year old GR mix female, spayed. She only weighs in at about 40#! She is underweight, dehydrated, came to us full of ticks, burrs and stinky!! She has been a stray and has had no care at all. Well that is all about to change.
When she got to us, she was afraid to even come into our home, I am sure she has never been in one before, so it took a little time but she finally came in and of course now loves it. She is very friendly from the start, at the shelter she was in (only for a day) they said she did fine with other dogs and cats. I have had my niece (9 months) around her and she is totally fine with her.
After getting used to the house a little she went straight to the tub for a bath, whined the whole time, but did fine. she is going to go in tomorrow for a grooming and a GOOD bath and make sure all the burrs and ticks are gone. She is matted also so she may have to be trimmed some. But she will feel so much better when this is done. Then to the vet on Wednesday (April 18th) so we will let you know how that goes.
She sure is a dandy!!!! Stay tuned............

UPDATES:
04/18/2012:
So, just wanted to give you a quick update on Dandi! She went to the vet today and is all up to date on everything, being treated for ticks and worms, but other than that she is good. She is very tiny--she weighs 42 lbs--a little underweight but not too bad. She rides well in the car, walks great on leash.
She is a real sweet dog for being a stray, loves everyone she meets. When people come to the door, so far there has been no barking, no jumping, just happy to see them. I think she would love another dog to play with!! She has had NO accidents in the house and whines to go outside, so that is great! She LOVES her squeaky toy!!
I took her to the groomers and she was so full of matts, burrs, ticks (100s of them), that in order for them to get it all off, they had to shave her, so as of now she is naked, but, as we all know, her coat will grow back, I just know she feels soooo much better being clean and tick free...She loves being in the house, she has gotten used to that very quickly!! Would you like to meet her??
