Warehouse cleaning & transport

Diane Dunker, Jenny Fitzer and Heidi Hunstad arrived on Friday, February 18 and spent the weekend helping at the RLRR shelter and cleaning at the clinic warehouse. We discovered a leaking roof as well as lots of messes from mice, so it was very good that the team worked on the preliminary cleanup.

WAREHOUSE CLEANING CREWJoining the group were Mary Fitzer of International Falls and Helen Wilson, Karen's aunt from Florida who did lots of dishes.

JENNY & ARLOWhile at the warehouse we took in 2 large dogs Maime and Bessie, l cat, and Toby a chihuahua as surrenders. The rest of the weekend was spent working with all the newcomer adult dogs and cats.

DIAMONDCORDEROMCKENNAIVANThe group left early Sunday, February 20 with 4 cats and 5 dogs and puppies on to All Dog and Tricounty Humane Society. All animals going to Tricounty were altered and vaccinated and adoption ready. We noticed them all on the webpage Sunday evening.

SADIE HAWKINSSadie Hawkins was rescued from the Red Lake Elementary School where she came daily out of the woods to play with the kids on the playground. She was eating in the school garbage dumpster. The teachers called RLRR as the authorities would have to destroy Sadie if she did not leave the school grounds. Polly went and got her and delivered her to the shelter. Sadie is darling and was quickly accepted by All Dog and left on the transport.

Thank you all for the great work and the transport. It is appreciated.

Sincerely, Karen RLRR
