PLEASE CONTACT DEEDEE AT dewelles@comcast.net IF YOU CAN HELP.
We are set for volunteers for the latter half of the May clinic, but have none for set-up on Wednesday 5/27 or Thursday morning 5/28. We need at least two people to come on Wednesday to set-up, and at least two to do intake, help with the animals, food, etc. on Thursday morning. See basic schedule below:
Wednesday: Set up crates lined with pads for intake.
Wednesday: Set up intake/humane education area: tables, pens, tape, paperwork, handouts, numbering system/quota, food samples and any other giveaways.
Daily: Facilitate intake – hand out numbers for daily quota, call in people in order and seat them to complete forms, weigh animals – 2 people
Daily: Facilitate humane education/hand out information, bones, food samples, etc.
Daily: Prepare lunch and dinner.
Daily: Clean cages, kitty litters, water and walk intake animals and recovery animals – 2-3 people
Daily: Wash dishes, gather laundry, remove garbage.
Daily: Check out – retrieve animals for owners, educate them about meds & post-surgical care, sutures, etc. – 1-2 people
Daily: Clean empty cages in recovery and set-up at intake for next morning.
Daily: Clean, water, feed, and walk animals that are staying overnight.
Sunday Afternoon: Clean and break down kennels; clean clinic areas, kitchen, and equipment; load animals, empty crates, and equipment to go to the Cities and to Karen’s.
I'm sorry I can't help at this clinic! Wish I could! I'm moving out of my old house - packing all my things, etc., and it'll take me about 2 weeks. Hopefully I'll be free for the next animal clinics! :)
