RLRR Clinic April 24-26: Volunteers needed!

The Spay/Neuter/Vaccination Clinics are vital to reducing the suffering of dogs and cats on Red Lake Reservation. Our next clinic is coming up fast, April 24-26, and we would love to have you join us.
There are many jobs to fill to run a clinic, but by far the most fun is snuggling the kittens and puppies that come in! Some even need to be hand-fed. Sadly, it’s not all about kitty cuteness and puppy breath, though. After surgery, cats and dogs are fed, dogs get walked, and crates and kitty litterboxes are cleaned.
Clinics are free of charge to the residents of the reservation. In addition to a spay or neuter, animals receive routine vaccines, worming, and basic care like nail trims and ear checks. Animals might receive care for wounds, infections, porcupine quills, or other emergencies. Veterinarians and vet students have volunteered at the Vaccination Station and we greatly appreciate their time and expertise.
At the end of the day, many animals go home. Others, that have been surrendered to Red Lake Rosie's Rescue orare strays or aren’t ready to go home yet, are given dinner and overnighted in crates. The animals need food, water, medications, and potty breaks before being put to bed for the night.
Volunteers can stay at the Red Lake Seven Clans Hotel and Casino, about 15 miles from the Redby clinic warehouse, or in more rugged accommodations at the warehouse. RLRR will help cover hotel costs.
If you can join us for all 3 days, or even 1 day, or would like more information, please contact: animalrescue@redlakerosie.org

Hope to see you in Redby!
