Chi Chi was surrendered while I was at Red Lake Rosie's Rescue. She has a cough, not sure if something was stuck in her throat or if she had a sinus infection. She also had a skin infection going on. Karen gave her meds and I clipped her coat, since she was matted.
Sadly, after I left, that the owners came back and told Karen that they wanted Chi Chi back -- that they didn’t know that they were surrendering Chi Chi. Karen was upset, but returned her.
I worry about Chi Chi....the winter is going to be so cold for her. Her owners won’t allow her in the house and I clipped her short, so she may freeze to death this winter. I pray not!

DENISE SAYS:
Perhaps the owners will bring her back and let us find her a safe indoor home.
In the interim, maybe an igloo filled with straw for the season would help for the moment. A couple igloos
ReplyDeleteare here for RLRR on behalf of the metro team....they will be delivered this weekend. Also, LLL has 4 nice outdoor dog houses that they will donate.....just need some fresh straw to fill the insides. There is, however, nothing like a nice warm home and a nice warm lap for such a little peanut of a dog who won't be able to tolerate the sub-zero temps. Chi Chi definitely needs a way to keep warm this winter.
The owner of Chi Chi said that she will be a house dog- indoors, so we are hoping.
