Krystal Izzie

UPDATE FROM ADOPTERS:
In November 2008 we adopted "Krystal" from the Animal Ark Shelter in Hastings. She has turned out to be a wonderful, wonderful part of our family. I thought I would take some time and update you on her. I am sure you see a lot of puppies and may be curious about the kind of dogs they turn out to be.

We renamed Krystal "Izzie" when we got her. She was one of the 6-8 white shepherd mixes that came to the shelter received from Red Lake Rosie's the first part of November 2008. Izzie was the biggest of the litter (at least the ones that were left).

She has been such a gentle dog with our kids, although still a puppy at 18 months old (don't leave your shoes out). When we got her, she was a big white puff-ball, but now she is more yellow lab in color. She has grown into a good sized dog - about 70 lbs. We have a good sized house and a fenced yard and she enjoys both. She is an inside dog, but we believe she may have a cold hardy dog breed in her, as she will sometimes lay down in the snow, and won't come in for 30-45 minutes. She seems to prefer the outside temp around 10-20 degrees.

She is an extremely intelligent dog, maybe one of the smartest I have ever had.

Just a great dog all around. Anyway, thank you for rescuing her way back in 2008. I often wonder how her brothers and sisters turn out.

  1. She has so much personality in her face - that's awesome! I love it when pets are thriving in their new homes and their personalities (sometimes more than one...) start to come out. :) Thank you for the update on Krystal. So glad she found a great home! :))
